For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temp: 165°F/75°C).
  3. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Stir in lemon juice and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth.
  5. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes, then stir in fresh parsley.

Step 4: Combine & Serve

  1. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over each piece.
  2. Simmer for 2 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
